Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy
Shethbooks (www.shethbooks.com) is the online store of Sheth Publishing House, a partnership firm registered in India (GSTIN 27AAQFS3775G1ZM).
We want you to be happy with every book you buy from Sheth Publishing House. This page explains how to cancel an order, how to return a book, and how and when you get your money back.

🕒 1. Cancelling an Order
Before dispatch: you can cancel until your order status changes to Completed (shipped). Write to [email protected] or WhatsApp +91 90820 07800 with your order number. We will refund the full amount you paid, including shipping, to your original payment method within 7 days. If you chose Cash on Delivery, you have paid nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
After dispatch: a shipped order cannot be cancelled, but you can return it under section 2 below.
If we cancel your order: we may cancel an order if an item is out of stock, a price or listing error is found, or a payment cannot be completed. We will tell you, and refund anything you have paid in full within 7 days.
Paid but the order failed? Your money is safe. Write to [email protected] with your payment details and we will either ship your books or refund your payment.
🔄 2. Returning a Book
You can request a return within 30 days of the dispatch date. To be accepted, the book must be in its original condition: unused, with no writing, marks, tears or damage caused after delivery.
Our error
Wrong book delivered, damaged in transit, manufacturing defect, or items missing from your order.
You get back
Full refund of the book price and the shipping charge you paid. Where you prefer and stock allows, we can send a replacement instead.
Return freight
We pay.
Any other reason
For example, you changed your mind or ordered by mistake.
You get back
Full refund of the book price. The original delivery charge and any COD fee are not refundable.
Return freight
You pay. The actual reverse freight is deducted from your refund.
We do not offer exchanges for change of mind. If you want a different book, please return the original for a refund and place a new order.
📮 3. How to Return a Book

Tell us within 30 days of dispatch. Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +91 90820 07800 with your order number and the reason for the return. If the book is wrong or damaged, please attach photos of the book and the packaging.

Wait for our confirmation. We will confirm the return and share the return address and instructions. Please do not send the parcel before we confirm.

Pack and send it back in its original condition, using a trackable courier. Keep your tracking receipt until your refund arrives.

We inspect and refund. We email you once your return is received and checked. Your refund is then processed.
Books bought at our showroom cannot be returned online. Please bring them to the showroom: G-12, Suyog Industrial Estate, Opp. Vitrum Glass Factory, L.B.S. Marg, Vikhroli (West), Mumbai – 400 083.
💸 4. Refunds
- Refunds go to the same payment method you used to pay (card, UPI, wallet or net banking).
- We process your refund within 7 days of receiving your returned item (or, for a cancelled order, within 7 days of the cancellation). Your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to show it.
- For Cash on Delivery orders, we will ask for your UPI ID or bank details and refund to those.
- We will email you when your refund is on its way. If it has not arrived after your bank’s usual time, write to [email protected] with your order number.
